Kitu is a peer-to-peer delivery service dedicated to facilitating the seamless sending of packages while ensuring the legality of the items being sent. We prioritize the security and legitimacy of our users, creating a trustworthy platform for individuals to send and transporting packages.
For Travelers :
Sign Up: Travelers sign up on Kitu's platform and indicate their travel details and available checked baggage space.
Matching: Kitu matches travelers with individuals or businesses looking to ship goods between the UK, South Africa, and Zimbabwe (the only routes serviced).
Bag Pickup and Delivery: Travelers pick up a pre-packed suitcase from a Kitu representative at the origin airport, check it in like their own luggage, and deliver it to a Kitu representative upon arrival at the destination airport.
Compensation: Travelers receive a flat fee (e.g., £150 per bag for 23kg) as compensation for carrying the package.
For Shippers:
Booking: Shippers book a shipment through Kitu, specifying the items to be shipped and the desired delivery location.
Consolidation: Kitu will consolidate multiple shipments into one suitcase, ensuring all contents are legal and adhere to airline regulations.
Delivery: Kitu matches the shipment with a traveler and handles the logistics of picking up the package at the origin and delivering it to the traveler at the departure airport.
